Universal Law of Gratitude

happiness gratitudeImagine what your life would be if you set aside a few minutes (or every moment) each day to express your gratitude for all the wonderful (and not so wonderful) things in your life. Gratitude is one of the most powerful forces in life.  It is a sacred practice that we can easily implement into our daily lives.  The Universe responds to the energy of gratitude. When we thank the Universe for the things in our lives, the more the Universe will match that energy and present things in our lives to be grateful for.

As we express gratitude we open our hears to love, joy, humility and peace. Our entire perspective about life and our World changes.  When we are grateful for the things and people around us, we “in-joy” them more.  We tend to be in the moment as we appreciate the experience, thing or person.  Gratitude has the power to alleviate stress because we are focused on what is right, not on what is wrong.

I, also, think it is important to be grateful for the things in our lives that may be interpreted as negative.  We always have a choice as to how we respond to each experience in our lives.  We can decide to look for and hold on to the good in any situation.  For as we are grateful for that experience that the ego interprets as negative, the energy of that experience changes to positive energy.  We also don’t know the miracles we will experience through that “negative” thing. Remember, that the Universe does not interpret an experience as either negative or positive, it “just is.”  Therefore, if we were to do the same, it would be much easier to be thankful for every situation because there would be no pull to perceive something in a certain way.

We are often grateful for big events in our lives, but it takes a conscious awareness to  notice and be grateful for the small moments each day.  It is very easy for us to take so many things for granted.  So here are several suggestions as to how to incorporate gratitude into you daily life:

Each day jot down a minimum of 5 things you are grateful for that day.  I find that when I write something down I am more aware of what I am actually thinking and it stays with me longer.

If you pray or meditate incorporate giving thanks as part of that practice.

Consciously, give thanks to the people that you interact with in your daily life.  You can express it to them aloud or to yourself.

Give back to the Universe through acts of kindness to all you meet.  This is as simple as smiling at someone or giving someone a compliment.

Putting gratitude into your life each day is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.  The more you incorporate gratitude into your life; the more you will feel peace, joy and love in your heart each and every day.

  1. It seems like gratitude opens a channel back to source. Like opening an electrical switch ( that’s otherwise shut) so that the flow of energy and love that is continually beamed towards us can be free to flow through us back to source, then back to us, others, all beings. It allows us to feel and participate in the process of creation
